Itinerary

• On arrival, directly head for Kaziranga. It will take 4-5 hrs approx.
• Have snacks/lunch on the way.
• In the evening, check-in at the homestay and rest.

• If you want to do Elephant safari, be ready early morning by 5am.
• On return, have breakfast. Then, enjoy jeep safari.
• On return, have an authentic lunch and explore Orchid Park and enjoy the museum tour. You can also enjoy the Bihu performances there.
Be back to homestay by evening.

• After breakfast, head to Dirang. Enjoy the scenic ride through Sela tunnel.
• Stop in Bomdila and visit Bomdila monastery.
• Reach Dirang. Check-in at the homestay and relax.

• Next morning, have breakfast with homegrown fresh fruits and head for tawang.
• You will reach the famous Sela pass. Stop there and enjoy the view. Have hot Maggie and tea in the army canteen.
• Next up, you will stop to see Jaswant garh war memorial and the beau4ful Nuranang (Jung) waterfall located at Jung.
• Reach Tawang by evening. Settle in at the hotel and have dinner.

• After breakfast, you will be taken through one of the most beautiful roads on the world to Bumla border at 15000L. You will be able to spot lots of bunkers used in war, huge number of armies and artilleries.
• On your return, you will visit the Ptso Lake. It’s a pristine blue and beautiful lake of arunachal.
• Next up, visit the Shungester lake, also known as Madhuri Lake (koyla film was shot here). Have chole bhature, samosa and other stuffs served by the armies themselves.
• Reach tawang by evening and rest at the hotel.
• Have dinner. Call it a day.

• After breakfast, go for local sightseeing.
• Visit places like, the giant Buddha statue, Urgelling monastery, Tawang war memorial, the tawang monastery etc.
• In the evening, you can go for some souvenir shopping.
• Be back to homestay and relax.

• After breakfast, directly drive to Dirang. You can stop at Sela pass for a short break to have a cup of tea.
• On reaching Dirang, head to visit the marvellous Dirang Monastery, also known as Thupsung Dhargye Monastery.
• Check-in at homestay. Rest for the day after having dinner.

• You will be dropped at Guwahati airport. Trip ends with a lot of cherishing memories for lifetime.

Is This Trek/Trip Safe?

Arunachal Pradesh and Kaizranga is considered as the safest place to be in Northeast India. You need to have Inner Line Permit to travel freely. Also the freedom that is available to women there is admirable. It is completely safe for tourists and travelers. The only difficulty can arise from the road network as most of the roads are uneven and not comfortable to drive on.

Which is the best time to visit Tawang? Which are the best months to see snowfall in Tawang?

The best month to visit Tawang is October to December which covers the winter season. During this time roads are clear and safe from heavy rain or heavy snowfall. You can also attend annual Tawang festival during this time which generally held in the last week of October.

You can see heavy snowfall in Tawang from December to February. Generally, snowfall starts in Tawang reason from the beginning of November till April. Some times road stuck due to heavy snowfall in these month. So it’s advisable to contact your agent in advanced before starting your tour.

How is the food in Arunachal Pradesh?

You will find North Indian and Nepali cuisine as well as local food which is boiled and simple. Pork dishes are readily available at almost everywhere. Chicken dishes are available in limited number of restaurants. However in Bomdila non veg dishes are not easily available.

Do I need to carry high altitude medicines while travelling to Arunachal Pradesh?
